Ghana Scholarships Authority Opens 2026/2027 Local Tertiary Scholarship Applications

The Ghana Scholarships Authority has officially opened applications for its 2026/2027 Local Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, giving qualified Ghanaian students the opportunity to receive financial support for their tertiary education.

Full Application Procedure

The scholarship process goes beyond simply filling an online form. Applicants are expected to complete the following stages:

Phase 1: Online Application Submission

All candidates must apply through the official portal:

At this stage, applicants must:

  • Create an account or log in
  • Complete the scholarship application form
  • Enter accurate personal and academic details
  • Upload all required supporting documents
  • Submit the application online before the deadline
Phase 2: Aptitude Test

After submitting the online form, applicants will be required to take an aptitude test within the application period.

This stage helps assess applicants based on the criteria set by the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat.

Phase 3: Selection Interview

Applicants who successfully meet the next stage requirements will be invited for interviews at selected Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
