GNAT Warns Teachers Against Unauthorized E-Payslip Training

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has warned teachers nationwide. The warning concerns training workshops on the new E-Payslip platform. GNAT says teachers should ignore invitations to such workshops. The union describes the workshops as unauthorized.
A notice from GNAT’s Compensation and Benefits Department is circulating among teachers. It warns about individuals organising E-Payslip training sessions. Some regional offices are also linked to these activities. Teachers are reportedly being asked to pay training fees.
However, checks with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) show something different. Officials say no training has been approved for the new platform. This means the workshops are not officially sanctioned.
GNAT therefore advised teachers not to feel pressured to attend. Teachers should also avoid paying any fees for such workshops.
The union also issued instructions to its regional leadership. Regional Secretaries should report such activities immediately. Reports should go to the office of the General Secretary.
The notice was signed by Isaac Baah, Head of Compensation and Benefits. Teachers should rely only on official information from GNAT and CAGD. Updates on the E-Payslip system will come through official channels.
Thank you 😊 🙏
