The Ghana Education Service has released the 2026/2027 academic calendar, even though the new academic year is still more than four months away. While the publication of the calendar may help schools and parents prepare ahead of time, many teachers are questioning why another important matter remains unresolved.

One issue that continues to generate frustration among teachers is the delay in the release of the 2025 GES Promotion Examination results, which were written in December 2025.

For many teachers, the situation is becoming increasingly difficult to understand. Teachers who sat for the exams have waited for months, with several updates suggesting that marking, validation, quota processing, and financial clearance have all been completed.

This has led to growing concerns among some teachers, with many openly asking why the results are still not out despite repeated indications that the process is in its final stages.

The release of the academic calendar before the promotion results has therefore triggered conversations across social media platforms and teacher groups. Some teachers believe the delay is becoming unfair, especially considering the anxiety and uncertainty many candidates have experienced since writing the exams.

Others also argue that promotion results affect the professional and financial planning of teachers, making the issue too important to remain unresolved for this long.

While there is no official indication that the delay is intended to punish teachers or divert attention, the growing frustration among teachers is becoming more visible each day.

Many teachers are now calling for clear communication from the Ghana Education Service regarding the exact status of the results and when teachers should realistically expect release.

At this point, teachers across the country continue to wait anxiously, hoping the long-awaited results will finally be released soon.
