According to a recent prediction, TikTok is the world’s third-largest social network, after only Facebook and Instagram.
Insider Intelligence – the agency formerly known as eMarketer — estimates that TikTok will reach 755.0 million monthly users in 2022, after growing by 59.8 per cent in 2020 and 40.8 per cent in 2021 in its first projection on TikTok’s worldwide install base.
Facebook announced 2.91 billion monthly active users in its most recent results, representing a 6% year-over-year increase. And, just lately, Instagram staff revealed that the company’s network has achieved 2 billion monthly users, a significant increase from the 1 billion monthly user milestone published in June 2018. TikTok has grown rapidly in the last few years.
Sensor Tower, an app intelligence organization, stated that the short-form video app had 2 billion downloads across the App Store and Google Play in the first quarter of 2020.
According to a second App Annie analysis, TikTok gained 325 per cent in 2020, and monthly time spent per user climbed faster than any other app, notably by 65 per cent in the United States, overtaking Facebook.
TikTok’s percentage of total social networking users is increasing as a result of its growth. According to Insider Intelligence, TikTok will achieve a 20% market share for the first time and will hit a quarter share by 2024.
According to the company, there is still a lot of opportunity for TikTok’s future development, since 3.57 billion individuals will use a social networking app at least once each month next year.
